Adventure Bound

Hello creative friends.
I am sharing a new layout as DT member
for 2Crafty Chipboard with you all today,
this time a masculine
 one using all things steampunk!

I altered the steampunk chipboard
embellishments and frames by painting
them with brown paint and then,
once dry, I lightly rubbed them with
gold and silver wax.

The light bulb word and title were heat
embossed in gold.

I arranged all of these pieces around my
photograph together with other
embellishments.

I hope that this layout has inspired you.

Adore

Hello creative friends.
I am sharing my new layout as
Design Team member for 2Crafty Chipboard
with you all today using some of the
beautiful chipboards
from the collection.

I prepared the background of my layout
with a few botanical rub-ons as well as
die-cuts to frame my photograph.

I painted the leaf branch borders with
copper paint and then layered these
above and below my photograph
together with a few die-cuts.

I painted the flourishes as well as the title
with avocado green paint and then lightly
brushed them with the copper paint.

I added the chipboard embellishments
together with the last die-cuts to my layout,
adding splashes of diluted green and copper paint
to complete my layout.

I hope that this layout has inspired you.

Summer vibes only

Hello again creative friends.
I am sharing my new project as
Design Team member for 13arts with
you all today ~ a Summery, mixed media
canvas using the beautiful Sweet
Summertime collection.

I prepared my canvas my painting
the outer edges, first with gesso and then
with a combination of liquid acrylic medium
and Carnelian Color Glow.

I then cut and adhered paper from the
collection onto the canvas.  Once adhered,
I gave the paper a good coating of clear
gesso to protect the paper from
other mediums.

Once dry, I stenciled onto the paper
with the two different stencils together
with modeling paste.

Once the paste was dry, I diluted Blue
Diamond Color Glow with water
and splashed this across the stenciling
and onto the paper where my main
composition would be.

I painted my chipboard piece with a
combination of liquid acrylic medium
and Carnelian Color Glow.
Once dry, I painted it lightly with a
combination of the acrylic medium
and Blue Diamond Color Glow so that
the Carnelian colour would
 still be visible.

I raised my photograph onto my canvas,
framing it with flowers and
die-cuts from the collection.

Splashes of blue as well as
white ink completed my layout.

I hope that this has inspired you.
