Unforgettable

Hi everyone.
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms today.  May your day be a special one
with those that you love.
Today I am sharing a mini canvas as a tribute to my beautiful mom
using paper and embellishments from the "Unforgettable" range from 13 Arts.

I tore pieces of the papers and secured them to the canvas before stenciling with modeling paste.

Some 13 Arts Color Glow was added in some places and sprayed with water
so that the colour moves.

I also lightly stamped in places with a script stamp.

The chipboard pieces were painted with black gesso, rubbed with wax and then
lighly brushed with white gesso.

The wings were painted with black gesso, brushed with wax and then lightly painted
with 13 Arts Color Glow.

I painted the rose with Color Glow and then brushed it with wax.

I hope that you like this canvas.
Until next time!

Hello!

Hi everyone.
I am sharing a single layout created using inspiration from the 13 Arts mood board challenge
for May, being inspired by the colours or elements in the board.

I love the soft, delicate colours used in this mood board and the vintage feel of the elements
so I decided to use a doily which I had made with a mould and resin
as well as a really old photograph (which I love!) of my husband as a young boy.

I prepared the background of this layout by tearing and combining papers from the
"Rose Fields" collection.

I stenciled some leaves onto the background, in the area that my main composition would go,
using white gesso mixed with "Woodbine" chalk mist to make the pink as well as white gesso mixed with a little black gesso to make the grey.

I painted the resin pieces on my layout (doily, bee and clock) as well as the
chipboard pieces (leaves and title) with the grey gesso.

The title, clock and bee were lightly brushed with gold.

I hope that you like this layout.
Why not join the challenge and create a layout of your own.
Until next time!

Lovely

Hi everyone.
Today I am sharing a pretty pastel canvas using the beautiful
Four Seasons "Spring" papers from P13.

As we prepare for winter, the colours of this range held me back in warm sunny days
for just a little bit longer ... days of being outdoors in nature, enjoying the sunshine.

I prepared the background for this canvas by cutting paper to fit and then
covering it with clear gesso.  I then stenciled onto the background using crackle paste
as well as painting the paste here and there to create texture.
Once the paste was dry, I lightly painted onto the crackles with soft watercolours.

The resin leaves were painted in green and then lightly dry brushed with white gesso.

The chipboard title was heat embossed in white.

The cutout of the two ladies was coloured with alcohol inks.

The picket fence was painted with white gesso, lightly painted in a lemon yellow and then dry brushed with white gesso again.

I hope that you like this canvas.
Until next time!

Hi everyone.
Today I am sharing a travel canvas created using the beautiful
"Travel the World" papers from 13 Arts.

I love the teals and mustards in this range which complement the black and white
photograph of a trip to South America many years ago perfectly.

I prepared the background by tearing some of the papers and adhering
near the top of the canvas, before covering with clear gesso.

I then diluted some Andalusite Color Glow and painted it onto the parts of the canvas
where there was no paper.

I then stenciled onto the canvas using 13 Arts modeling paste mixed with the same Color Glow.

The chipboard compass and boots were painted with the same Color Glow.
The star in the centre of the compass as well as the title were painted with 13 Arts Turquoise Ink.

A cut a piece of the co-ordinating transparent foil and secured this to the right side of the canvas.

I hope that you like this canvas.
I am looking forward to the day when we can get in our cars or on an aeroplane again
and go travel the country and the world.

Until next time!
