Discover

Hello again creative friends.
I am sharing my new layout as
Design Team member for 2Crafty Chipboard
with you all today featuring some
of their beautiful chipboards.

Before adding my chipboards to my
layout, I altered them as follows ...

Viney page frame ~
I painted my frame with pink paint,
lightly dusting the leaves with diluted green paint
and then adding white gold wax to the leaves
and some of the stems.

Iron fence ~
I painted the fence with green paint
and then lightly rubbed with white gold wax.

Field mushrooms ~
I heat embossed these cute little
mushrooms with Platinum
embossing powder, applying pink crystal
drops to some of the circles on the tops
of the mushrooms.

Title ~
I painted the "Discover" title with
pink paint and then lightly rubbed it
with white gold wax.

I then added cut-outs, flowers and
lace to my layout to frame my photograph.

I hope that this layout has inspired you.

Wedding day

Hello again creative friends.
I am so happy to share a new project as
Design Team member for 13arts ~
a romantic wedding layout using one of the
absolutely stunning new collections,
BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS, together with the
gold foil papers co-ordinated
with the collection.

I prepared the background of my layout
by combining Tiger Eye Color Glow
with gel medium and then stenciling
onto the right and left sides of my layout.

I cut flowers out of the floral foil sheet and
layered these around my layout to frame
my photograph, together with flowers,
an envelope from the cut-out sheet
as well as some other embellishments.

I hope that this layout has inspired you.

Embrace today

Hello again creative friends.
I am sharing my new project with you all today
as Design Team member for 2Crafty Chipboard ~
a fun layout using some of the beautiful
chipboards from the collection.

I altered the chevron strips by painting
them with turquoise and yellow paints.
The frames were also painted with
the same paint.

I also lightly rubbed a peacock blue wax
onto the blue pieces and a vintage gold
onto the yellow ones.

I layered paper frames together with
the chipboard frames around my photograph
as well as flowers and other embellishments.

Splashes of blue and yellow paint
completed my layout.

I hope that this layout has inspired you.

Use your wings

Hello again to all my creative friends.
I am sharing my new project as
Design Team member for 13arts ~
a mixed media canvas using the
beautiful MEMORY LANE collection.

There were a few processes which I
used to prepare the background
of my canvas ...

I first cut and adhered paper from the
collection to my canvas using
gel medium and then gave all paper
a good coating of the same product,
drying it completely.

I then stenciled around my canvas
using modeling paste, allowing it
to dry completely before applying
a combination of modeling paste
and texture powder using a spatula.

Once all product had dried completely and
allowed the cracks to form, I added
Chalk Lilac and Patina Bronze from the
co-ordinating set of watercolour sprays
onto my canvas, one colour at a time,
spraying with water to allow the colour to
move on the surface of my canvas and
drying each colour before
the next application.

I painted my large metal frame
as well as the resin door with black gesso
and then, once dry, dry brushed them
with a light application of white gesso.
I then applied the rust effect by
first brushing with gel medium,
secondly adding the rusty powder to the
product and then applied the reagent
to the powder, leaving it to work
its magic! to produce the brown, rust look.
Some of the rusty liquid ran onto my
canvas and I left it there because it
gave my canvas an old, vintage look.

I painted the chipboard swirls with
diluted Golden Calcite Color Glow.

I adhered all elements to my canvas
together with cut-outs from the collection,
flowers and other embellishents.

I hope that this layout has inspired you.

Wild at heart

Hi everyone.
I am sharing my layout as Brand
Ambassador for Penelope Dee using the
beautiful new WILD KIND collection.

I prepared my layout by layering paper
and elements from the cut-out sheet
to form the background for my photograph.
I then stenciled onto the background
with Avocado paint combined with
gel medium, allowing it to dry completely.

I added cut-outs as well as an
acrylic flower to frame my photograph,
colouring the cheesecloth by diluting
Marigold paint and rubbing the cheesecloth
in the paint, allowing it to dry
completely before adding it to my layout.

I coloured my chipboard embellishments
by painting them with diluted Avocado paint,
wiping off the excess paint.

I lightly brushed white gesso around
some of the papers and added splashes
of diluted ink to complete my layout.

I hope that this layout has inspired you.
