Delight

Hello to all my creative friends.
I am thrilled to be sharing another of my
layouts as Design Team member for
2Crafty Chipboard with you all today.

I started by painting the three circles
which I used with white gesso.
I then lightly painted them with diluted
Blue Diamond Color Glow from 13arts.
Once they were dry, I added stamping
to the circles in black ink.

I altered the corner vines by covering them
with embossing ink, adding Turquoise
Antiquities embossing powder from
Ranger to the ink and then
heat setting them with my heat gun.
This powder gives a lovely effect of
turquoise, gold and a small amount
of black.

I heat embossed my title with purple
embossing powder and then, once set,
I added a light covering of white embossing
powder, heat setting it with my heat gun.

I added the circles to my layout before
adhering my photograph, framed by
ephemera, flowers and the other chipboard
embellishments.

Here are some close-ups of my layout
showing the details ...

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Captivating

Hello again creative friends.
I am thrilled to be sharing my new layout
as Design Team member for
2Crafty Chipboard with you all today.

I altered my chipboard frames by
painting them with brown paint and
then, once dry, lighting rubbing them
with gold wax.

The clock faces were painted with blue paint.

I painted the chipboard title with blue paint
and then lightly brushed it with gold embossing
powder which I set with a heat gun.

I hope that you are inspired by this layout.

Remember the Summer

Hello again creative friends.
I am sharing my new project as Design Team
member for 13arts with you all today ~
a soft, pastel mixed media canvas
using the gorgeous Sweet Summertime
collection.

I prepared the background of my canvas
by measuring strips with tape to
create the stripes.
I then mixed modelling paste and
Carnelian Color Glow together and
applied this paste between the stripes
with a spatula, allowing it to dry
completely.

I then combined white gesso with texture
powder and stenciled lightly onto the corners
of my canvas as well as spreading the
paste around the edges of my canvas,
using a spatula, and leaving it to
dry completely for the cracks to form.

I tore paper from the collection which I
secured across the centre of my canvas and
then added ephemera and other embellishments
to frame my photograph.

Once I had added everything to my canvas,
I added diluted Blue Diamond Color Glow
onto the white stripes above and below
my composition, spraying it with water
to allow the colour to move.
Once dry, I painted liquid glue and gold
glitter onto the white stripes as well.

I hope that this project has inspired you.
