Magical

 Hello creative friends.
I am sharing my new layout as Design Team
member for 2Crafty Chipboard
with you all today featuring
chipboards from the collection.

For this layout, I wanted my chipboard pieces
to all have the same effect so I prepared them by
painting them with copper paint which
was a bold contrast to the black and red paper
and embellishments.

I arranged the chipboard pieces around my
photograph together with ephemera pieces.

2Crafty Chipboard now have a retail section on their
website so, if you cannot find what you want
at your local store, you can now buy directly
from 2Crafty Chipboard.

I hope that this layout has inspired you
to create one of your own with these
beautiful chipboard pieces.

Brave at heart

Hello creative friends.
I am sharing my latest layout as
Brand Ambassador for Penelope Dee
using the stunning new OUT THERE collection.

I prepared the background of my layout
by stenciling with crackle mousse, allowing
it to dry completely to expose the cracks.

I painted the chipboard embellishments with
a combination of Lemon and Ancient media
acrylic paint, wiping off the excess on some
to expose the embossed areas.

I layered elements from the cut-out
sheet as well as the chipboard embellishments
to frame my photograph.

Splashes of diluted white ink
completed my layout.

I hope that this layout has inspired you.

City adventure

Hello again creative friends.
I am sharing my new project as
Design Team member for 13 arts ~
a mixed media layout using the CITY LIGHTS
collection as well as 13arts mixed media
products and mediums.

I prepared the background of my layout
by stamping around the edges and then
stenciling with a combination of black gesso
and gel medium.

Once the product was dry, I rubbed a
green wax over the stenciling using
a clear wax medium and Cyan Green
Shiny Powder.  I then lightly dry brushed
the stenciling with white gesso.

I painted the chipboard city with black gesso
and then rubbed it with the same wax
mixture before dry brushing
with white gesso.

I added embellishments from the collection
to frame my photograph, adding splashes of
white to complete my layout.

The chipboard title was also painted with black
gesso, rubbed with the wax mixture and then
lightly brushed with white gesso.

I hope that this layout has inspired  you.

Always

 Hello again creative friends.
I am sharing my new project as Design Team
member for 2Crafty Chipboard with you all
today ~ a vintage, shabby chic layout
with blues, browns and creams.

I prepared the background of my layout by
layering paper together with brown corrugated
board, which I painted with white gesso.

I painted my resin embellishments, which
frame my photograph, with brown
paint and then, once dry, lightly brushed
them with white gesso.

I painted the hanging hearts and tree and
the sparrows with white ink and then
lightly heat embossed them
with gold embossing powder.

The mini frames were painted with brown
paint and then lightly brushed with white gesso.

I hope that this layout has inspired you today.
Thanks for stopping by.

Together on the path of life

Hello creative friends.
I am sharing my new project as Design Team
member for 13arts with you all today ~
a mixed media canvas featuring paper
from the CITY LIGHTS collection and
elements from the ROSE GARDEN
and Art Book 4.

I prepared the background of my canvas by
painting the bottom half with black gesso
and then, once dry, I stenciled along the
top corner with black gesso combined
with gel medium.
Once that was dry, I stenciled along the
top and bottom corner with Bronze Shiny Powder
combined with gel medium.
I applied the leftover product onto the edges
of my canvas with a spatula.

I painted the resin pieces with black gesso
and then rubbed them with the Bronze Shiny
Powder combined with clear wax
to bring out the details.

I turned the resin window into a
shaker box by first cutting and adhering
a piece of paper from the collection to the
bottom of the window.
I then adhering a piece of printed foil
onto the top of the window, after I had
added sequins etc.

The chipboard title was painted with
diluted Bronze Shiny Powder.

I added elements from the cut-out sheet
as well as the Art Book to frame the main
composition on my project.

I hope that this project has inspired you.

Treasured moments

Hello creative friends.
I am sharing my recent layout as
Brand Ambassador for Penelope Dee
using the gorgeous new GEORGINA
collection.

I prepared my layout by cutting out the centre
of one of the sheets with a craft knife and then
adhering another piece from the collection
to the back of my layout, covering the
part that was cut out.

I adhered elements from the cut-out sheets
to frame the photograph, together with flowers,
lace and chipboard embellishments.

Chipboard pieces were lightly brushed with
Brushed Corduroy Ink using a blending brush.

Here are some close-ups of
the details on my layout ...

I hope that this layout has inspired you.
