Pawprints on my heart

Hi everyone.
Today I am sharing a single layout for FabScraps using the stunning Spilt Milk range.

For this layout I used a pic of our beautiful boy who we lost a couple of months ago.
He was my ever faithful friend and shadow and has indeed left his mark on my our heart.
We will miss him forever!

I began this layout by stenciling onto the background, around the photo, using a white paste
and then, once it was dry, I added some diluted ink around the stenciled area,
lightly spraying with water to allow the ink to move through the paste.

The chipboard were painted with emerald green and yellow paints and, once dry, I added some
Glossy Accents to the wording, setting it aside to dry completely.

Some splashes of diluted paint and the layout was complete.

I hope that you like this layout.
Until next time!

The little things in life

Hi everyone.

I am sharing a recent single layout as Brand Ambassador for Penelope Dee
using the striking Out and About collection.

For this layout, I stenciled onto the background using a star stencil and white texture paste.

I added some stars made with clay and a Prima silicone mould and
layered the papers to frame the photograph.

The chipboard title was painted with an orange ink and then dabbed with some glitter paste.

Some splatters of paint and some cheesecloth completed the layout.

I hope that you like it.
Until next time!

Never doubt your worth

Hi everyone.

I am sharing a recent single layout for FabScraps using the ever so beautiful
118 Antique Elegance collection.

For this layout I combined two sheets from the collection, stenciling onto the papers
with the co-ordinating script stencil.

The chipboard title as well as some die cut leaves were heat embossed in gold.

Lots of fussy cutting and flowers were added to complete the layout.

I hope that you like this layout.
Until next time!

Make a wish

Hi everyone.
I am sharing a recent single layout as Brand Ambassador for Penelope Dee
using the gorgeous Nautilus collection.

I wanted to use the navy blue paper as the background with white as the striking contrast.
I stenciled onto the background and then, once the paste was dry,
I stamped randomly onto the paper with an embossing ink pad and then
heat embossed the stamp image with white embossing powder.

I die cut and stamped some leaves onto white paper, cutting them
and other leaves on the paper out to frame the photograph.

Some resin elements completed the layout.

A very simple layout, but yet so effective.

I hope that you like this layout.
Until next time!

#captured

Hi everyone.
Today I am sharing a single canvas created as Brand Ambassador for Penelope Dee
using the beautiful "Out & About" collection.

I love the purple and peach colour combination of this collection, together with the pinks,
which matched the photograph of my niece perfectly.

I painted white crackle paste onto the background of this canvas, leaving it to dry naturally so that
the cracks will appear naturally.  I was so happy with the result because these little cracks
are gorgeous! and when the ink runs through them, they look amazing.

I stenciled onto the crackle gaze and then added some inks in purple, pink and peach,
lightly spritzing them with water so that they move on the canvas, running through the cracks
and stenciling to create the effect that I wanted.

I love the Redesign with Prima and Finnabair moulds.  I used airdry clay with this mould
and then, once dry, I painted them with concentrated watercolour and then rubbed with
Firebird metallic wax.

At the end, I added a light brush of white gesso over everything to soften the colours.

I hope that you like this canvas.
Until next time!

Adventure awaits - Explore

Hi everyone.

Today I am sharing a recent project using some Dusty Attic chipboards,
a Stamperia Texture Impression mould, some of my favourite Prima and Finnabair products
as well as beautiful 49&Market and Little Birdie flowers.

It's been a while since I got to create something on the spur of the moment and
really enjoyed the process for this canvas.

I painted some of Finnabair's Platinum crackle paste onto the canvas and allowed it
to dry naturally in order to show some amazing cracks.

The chipboard was painted with a combination of blue, purple and pink rust pastes.

I added a texture mould made with some clay to the centre of the canvas and painted it
with black gesso before adding waxes in co-ordinating colours.

I added some cheesecloth coated with sculpture medium onto the top of the clay accent
to give height and dimension to the centre of the project.

I then added liquid acrylic paints around the centre of the project, spraying it with water
to allow the colour to move.  Paint was added to the rest of the project as well.

The gears were coated with Patina for metals.

I hope that you like this project.
Until next time!

Sweet little moments

Hi everyone.
Today I am sharing a double page layout as brand ambassador for Penelope Dee
using the beautiful Li'l Darling collection.

I couldn't resist using these darling photographs of my two great nieces in South America who are both so beautiful, just like their mom.

I began by stenciling on either side of the layout, using a combination of blue, pink and natural inks together with sponge daubers.

The chipboard words and little x's were also inked in a combination of colours.

The neck ties on the little wooden bunny and bear were coloured in with distress crayons.

I love this paper collection with all of the fussy cut elements which complete a layout perfectly.

I hope that you like this layout.
Until next time!

Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful

Hi everyone.
Today I am sharing a recent canvas which I did just for myself.
I haven't had much time to take some creative me-time so I went through all my old stash
and found this really old paper collection with colours that I love.

We often buy paper, products and all pretty things because we love them and have to have them,
but don't always get to actually use them.  I am guilty of that 100%!
So be challenged to get into your stash and use it.

For this canvas, I used some chipboard which is also from a while ago and some new ones
which I recently purchased from Australia.  And I also got to use some metal embellishments
which I purchased a while ago and have been longing to be used.

They were all painted with black gesso and then rubbed with waxes.

I used co-ordinating colour sprays on the background of the canvas and then stenciled with some white crackle paste, allowing it to dry naturally to bring out all the cracks.

Stamping was done onto the canvas using a chevron stamp.

Just let your creativeness flow.
It doesn't always have to be perfect as long as it is wonderful.

I hope that you like this canvas.
Until next time!

You are loved

Hi everyone.
Today I am sharing a recent project for FabScraps - three little wooden hearts -
using the beautiful C117 "Days gone by" collection.

I covered the hearts in paper from the collection and then stamped with a music stamp before heat embossing the stamped image with copper embossing powder.

The leaves were also heat embossed in copper.

The chipboard title, swirls and resin bird were painted in black, dry brushed
with a turquoise paint and lightly rubbed with gold and brass wax.

The clay wings were painted in a turquoise paint and then lightly
rubbed with gold and brass wax.

Splashes of paint finished off the project.

I hope that you like this project.
Until next time!
