Moment in time

Hi everyone.  I am so excited to share my first project as Guest Designer for 13 Arts.
I have been keeping this information to myself for a while and so happy
to be able to share it with you all now.

I used the beautiful Rosalie papers for this layout and prepared the background by
adhering parts of the transparent foil as well as stenciling here and there.

I LOVE the 13 Arts Color Glow powder paints and used Tiger Eye (brown), which suited my
vintage layout perfectly, around the composition for depth and definition.

The gorgeous Ephemera pack is a perfect accompaniment to the beautiful papers.

Once the layout was complete, I added some old gold glitter around the composition as well
for some shimmer.

I hope that you like this layout.

Visit the 13 Arts blog to see details on how I created this vintage layout.

Until next time!

Spread your wings and fly

Hi everyone.
I am sharing a single layout created using inspiration from the 13 Arts mood board challenge
for June, being inspired by the colours or elements in the board.

I love the combination of the pinks and mauves with green and was inspired
to use these colours together.

I created the background of this layout by mixing Amethyst Color Glow paint powder
with gesso and dragging the colour down my paper making sure that it will be
visible around my composition.

I then added more gesso to the mixture to make it a bit lighter and stenciled
around the page.  Once the gesso was dry, I added green glitter to modeling paste
and added a bit of green stenciling.

I added some stamping around the page with black archival ink.

The chipboard doily and title were painted with black gesso and then coloured with waxes.

The large chipboard frame was painted with diluted Emerald Color Glow paint powder
and then dry brushed with white gesso.

I hope that you like this layout.
Why not join the challenge and create a project of your own.
Until next time!

Loved beyond measure

Hi everyone.
Today I am sharing a recent canvas created as Brand Ambassador for Penelope Dee
using the Vintage Garden collection.

I loved the idea of creating a secret garden and used a picture of my daughter looking through the gates.

I prepared the background of this canvas by securing paper from the range to it
and then stenciling with Platinum crackle paste, dragging it down the canvas with the spatula
to soften the edges of the stenciling.

I used a wreath made from twigs for the centre of the canvas and then coated lace with
clear sculpture paste, draping the lace over the edge of and running down from the wreath.

I used a lot of flowers, leaves, sisal, moss and cutouts from the collection to make the garden.

The gates were painted and added to the composition.

The title and leaves were heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

I hope that you enjoyed walking through this garden with me.
Until next time!

Timeless Beauty

Hi everyone.
Today I am sharing a recent single page layout created as Brand Ambassador
for Penelope Dee using the absolutely stunning Vintage Garden collection.

I love this pic of my niece taken amongst the leaves and it suited the papers perfectly,
especially as I wanted to bring the coral colour into this layout.

I prepared the background of this layout by mixing green Impasto paint with modeling paste
and stenciling onto the page together with gold Icing Paste.

The resin embellishments were coloured with Red Pepper, Flamingo and Salmon Alcohol Inks
and then lightly brushed with white gesso.

The chipboard embellishments were painted with white paint and then
lightly rubbed with gold wax.

Some splashes of white paint and the layout was complete.

I hope that you like this layout.
Until next time!

Love life in full bloom

Hi everyone.
With lockdown, it has been such a while since have I posted a project as
Brand Ambassador for Penelope Dee.
And what a beautiful collection this new one is ...the papers and
embellishments are gorgeous!

I prepared the background of this layout by tearing papers from the collection and
adding them to the top of the layout.

I then added Distress Oxide by blending outwards from the centre so that the Oxide is
visible around the area where my composition would be.
I then added the Oxide to the back of the stencil,
lightly sprayed it with water and then pressed the stencil onto my layout
to create a reversed effect.

I added stamping around my composition with black archival ink.

The chipboard elements were heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I hope that you like this layout.
Until next time!
